Through the study of adaptation theory and analysis of specific case studies, students will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities inherent in adaptation. Topics covered include adaptation as a form of cultural translation, the role of adaptation in shaping narratives across different mediums, and the ethics of adaptation.
