MACC at HKU Teaching Opportunities Fall Semester 2023

 

Job advertisement #1: Part-time Lecturer/ Assistant Lecturer (1 post) in the School of English (Ref. 522427)

Applications are now invited for appointment as Part-time Lecturer/ Assistant Lecturer (1 post) at the Master of Arts programme in Creative Communications (The MACC@HKU) in the School of English (Ref. 522427), to commence on September 1, 2023 for four months.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in a relevant discipline in interdisciplinary communications, with ideally at least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification teaching experience, or with a relevant proven track record instead. Applicants with interest and lesser teaching experience may be considered for Assistant Lecturer.

The appointee will teach one MACC course on Creative Perspective in a self-selected context of Media/ Entrepreneurship/ Video/ Marketing/ Tech/ AI or other relevant field of specialization/research.

Teaching Assistant (3 posts) of the Master of Arts Programme in Creative Communications (The MACC@HKU) in the School of English (Ref.: 522430) (to commence on September 1, 2023 for four months)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in a relevant discipline in interdisciplinary communications, with ideally 1 year of relevant post-qualification teaching/professional experience, or with a relevant proven track record. 

The appointees will support 2 selected MACC courses, running tutorial sessions and assisting students in office hours.

Part-time Tutor (2 posts) of the Master of Arts Programme in Creative Communications (The MACC@HKU) in the School of English (Ref. 522431) (to commence on September 1, 2023 for four months)

There are two openings for this position. We are looking for candidates ideally with specialization in the following: (1) marketing/ business development/ entrepreneurship; and (2) an open field position for a specialist in gaming/ AI/ branding or other relevant field specializations.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in a relevant discipline in interdisciplinary communications, with ideally a minimum of 2-5 years’ relevant post-qualification professional/teaching experience, or with a relevant proven track record instead.

The appointees will offer and lead a focused session to rising leaders in the field.
