Teaching Assistant in English Literary Studies in the Master of Arts in English Studies (MAES) programme in the School of English (Ref.: 527321) (to commence on September 1, 2024 for four months)

Applicants should possess Bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees in English Studies/ English Language and Literature/ English Literature/ English Literary Studies or another relevant discipline. Those with a good track record or experience in teaching are preferred.

The appointee will work with the course instructors, and provide teaching assistance in English for two courses in English Literary Studies for the MAES, which is a taught Master’s programme, and perform any other duties as assigned. Information about the MAES programme is available at https://english.hku.hk/Postgraduate/MAES/Introduction. The School of English offers an integrated programme in English Studies, including undergraduate teaching and supervision of research students in English and American Literatures, World Literature in English, English Linguistics, World Englishes, Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, and Language and the Law. The School contributes to the teaching of the B.A. & B.Ed. in Language Education (English) and the B.A. & L.L.B. double degree programmes.
