Master of Arts in English Studies (MAES)

Further to the University’s announcement about the “HKU TPG Scholarship for UG Class of 2021” on May 24, 2021, the School of English is very pleased to inform you that HKU UG applicants who are graduating this year will be eligible to receive a scholarship of a value equivalent to 50% of the tuition fees of the programme, once they meet the programme admission criteria and are admitted to the Master of Arts in English Studies (MAES) programme for the next academic year commencing in the Fall of 2021.

  • Application for full-time MAES programme: Interested HKU final-year students please contact Dr Haewon Hwang individually by June 20, 2021 for details at haewonh@hku.hk
  • Application deadline for part-time MAES programme for local HKU students has been extended to July 30, 2021
  • Application deadline for part-time MAES programme for non-local HKU students has been extended to June 30, 2021*

* Note: The earlier deadline for non-local students is to give enough time for the Immigration Department to process visas, if applicable
