Course Description

This course is designed to inspire students through the process of conceptualising, developing, and executing projects that express their creative conviction. Utilising an interdisciplinary approach and a variety of media, the course emphasises artistic and narrative techniques to create cohesive multimedia experiences. It covers the backstory and development of creative works, offering both theoretical and practical insights into multimedia design. This exploration includes filmmaking, music design, performance art, technology, and more, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of how these diverse elements can be integrated to enhance narrative storytelling.

Objectives

  • To explore various disciplines through classroom learning and research, developing both critical and creative thinking in an interdisciplinary approach.
  • To foster an understanding of how various artistic and scientific disciplines can be synergistically combined to enhance narrative storytelling.
  • To develop skills and artistic creativity in multimedia dimensions such as filmmaking, music design, and performance art, etc.
  • To build creative conviction and vision for multimedia projects and future creative endeavours, and to communicate these effectively through concept pitching and final project showcase.
