Kenneth Kong has been teaching and researching in the areas of professional discourse, intercultural pragmatics, multimodal discourse, English for specific purposes and online learning.  His interdisciplinary research usually revolves around the applications of linguistics and other disciplines in the wider social, cultural and behavioral contexts, culminating in his most recent research monograph, Professional Discourse published by Cambridge University Press in 2014.
