The HKU School of English offers a unique opportunity to see a live theatre production of Hamlet, by William Shakespeare. This condensed version of Shakespeare's original text combines the talents of eighty-eight students from the MAES, MACC and MFA programmes. Now in its third year, our Shakespeare Production Project promises visual and emotional intensity. Our version of Hamlet features forty-six actors and a contemporary, multicultural setting for the secretive royal family of Denmark.
Please join us to see Shakespeare's immeasurably beautiful play within a stylish, condensed, modern staging. Seating is limited, reservations are required, and tickets are free. Running time is approximately 90 minutes without interval. Thank you for supporting the School of English production of Hamlet.
Regitration is required due to limited seating.
The performance is repeated across all three dates, please choose the performance date you would like to attend. Registration is required and no walk-ins allowed. Successful registrants will be informed in due course.
- Each student may register for one ticket only for herself/himself, but not for others;
- Exception: The crew and the acting cast are not required to register for a ticket, though they may use their original quota to register one for an invited guest.
