I<\/p>\n

Naked she stands before the edge of a<\/p>\n

waterfall cascading; the blackened clouds<\/p>\n

unleash their fury: bolts tearing the sky<\/p>\n

apart, roars amplifying the downpour,<\/p>\n

and raindrops diluting the salty tears.<\/p>\n

Downward she fearfully gazes to find<\/p>\n

foaming and fuming the face of a lake<\/p>\n

that is battered by frailty and fear.<\/p>\n

Then spreading out her arms, resigned, she dives<\/p>\n

and drowns in that chaotic lake, resolved<\/p>\n

to give up life in order to live again;<\/p>\n

and in her final thoughts she finds the deep<\/p>\n

captivating, without captivity \u2013<\/p>\n

her bones become the treasures of the lake.<\/p>\n

II<\/p>\n

Oh let me melt in Spring and see again<\/p>\n

your unreserved smile – a coat of sweet<\/p>\n

nectar your finger brushed and counter-brushed<\/p>\n

infinite times on my finite lips. So<\/p>\n

in ignorant generosity you gave,<\/p>\n

and I received with deliberate greed,<\/p>\n

drowning every taste bud with that summer drink,<\/p>\n

then sucking dry my lips, craving for more.<\/p>\n

But now that you are departed, my tongue,<\/p>\n

licking around my autumn lips, can taste<\/p>\n

nothing but anesthetic bitterness.<\/p>\n

Paralyzed between water and earth, I’ll<\/p>\n

remain frozen in wintry sleep, until<\/p>\n

my thirst is indulged by that fervent touch.<\/p>\n
